Preston's Tree

When preston was little my best friend Kayla, myself and preston used to go up to the top of ditchling beacon and sit at a solitary hawthorn tree and look at the north facing view as far as gatwick and the surrey hills ! Some 25 miles away !

We would chat about things and fly kites etc 

We all said that when we died we would like our ashes sprinkled around that tree as it was a beautiful location

The hawthorn tree is also known as “fairy tree” and is believed to be a portal into the afterlife ! It is also known as the may day tree due to it briefly blossoming at that time
